PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motorcycle handlebar device which allows a motorcycle driver, who absolutely needs to wear gloves, to simply and reliably operate an external mobile device.SOLUTION: There is described a motorcycle handlebar device 1 including a grip 3 and a grip monitor 5. The grip monitor 5 is configured so as to detect a finger gesture performed by a driver with individual fingers of a hand grasping the grip 3, assign a uniquely corresponding signal to a prescribed gesture, and output the signal. As a result, the motorcycle driver can control, with a simple and intuitive finger gesture, for example, an external device such as a navigation device or a smartphone. In this case, the finger gesture can be detected, for example, by using multiple pressure-sensitive sensors 11 arranged in a matrix form or an optically operated three-dimensional sensor device. |
