PURPOSE: Passage counting system and method thereof using image analysis are provided to perform simple and accurate passage counting and to utilize as customer information. CONSTITUTION: A passage counting system includes a three-dimensional (3D) image recognition sensor (100) and a management computer (200). The 3D image recognition sensor detects at least one person in a set passage counting region and obtains a color photography image. The management computer receives 3D detection image or color photography image from the 3D image recognition sensor, counts and stores the number of visitors in the 3D detection image. The management computer captures and stores a human body image in a color photography image of an entering person.
