<p>The configuration of a parking assistance device can be simplified to reduce the cost. A parking assistance device (10) comprises a parking judging means (1a) for judging whether or not its own vehicle can be parked in a parking space when it passes through the vicinity of the parking space, a parking target position setting means (1b) for setting the parking space as a parking target position when the parking judging means (1a) judges that the own vehicle can be parked therein, a parking assistance means for performing driving assistance for parking the own vehicle in the parking target position set by the parking target position setting means (1b), and a wheel block detecting means (2) for detecting wheel blocks (X1) to lock the wheels, which are provided on the road surface in the parking space. The parking judging means (1a), when the wheel block detecting means (2) detects the wheel blocks (X1) in the parking space, judges that the own vehicle can be parked in the parking space.</p> |
