<p>A method for manufacturing a capped sensor element by providing a substrate with a sensor structure, the sensor structure being produced in the substrate using a sacrificial material, applying a cap made of zeolite to the sensor structure and the sacrificial material, and removing the sacrificial material, the sacrificial material being removed through the cap made of zeolite.
