The optical loopback connector (1) comprises a parallel disposed pair of sleeves and an optical fiber (7). Two ends of the optical fiber are inserted into the pair of sleeves. An in-line connector (11) is provided to receive the pair of sleeves and in which a connector (9) is used. The in-line connector is mounted on a loop-back housing (15). A fiber holding portion (13) is provided in loop-back housing so as to receive the optical fiber.
