<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant supply device capable of stably supplying a lubricant to an image carrier even with the lapse of time without wastefully using space and lubricant, and an image forming apparatus using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The lubricant supply device includes a rotating brush roller for supplying the solid lubricant to the image carrier while abutting on the surface of the image carrier and the solid lubricant, and holds the solid lubricant by pressuring and energizing the solid lubricant to the surface of the rotating brush roller so that the abutting surface of the solid lubricant may be inclined at a predetermined angleθtoward the upstream side of the rotating brush roller at such a time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
