PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance rotation efficiency of the rotating shaft of a motor and a generator.SOLUTION: A motor or a generator includes bearings 11 arranged on both sides of a rotor on a rotating shaft 7. The bearing 11 has an inner ring 13 integrated with the outer periphery of the rotating shaft 7, an outer ring 15 arranged on the outer periphery of the inner ring 13 via a plurality of rolling elements 14, a ring-like holder 16 holding the plurality of rolling elements 14 between the inner ring 13 and outer ring 15, and a ring-like shield 19 placed in the opening between the inner ring 13 and outer ring 15. Inner peripheral side of the shield 19 of the bearing 11 is fixed to the inner ring 13, and the outer peripheral side thereof is an idle end in non-contact state with the outer ring 15. |
