PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spindle motor for operating a fluid dynamic pressure bearing more stably and improving the driving reliability.SOLUTION: A spindle motor of this invention includes: a shaft 11 forming a rotation center of the motor; a sleeve 22 housing the shaft 11 and rotatably supporting the shaft 11; a thrust plate 41 press-fitted into the shaft 11 so as to be arranged perpendicular to an axial direction of the shaft 11; and a sealing cap 60 which is separated from the thrust plate 41 in an upper axial direction, is bent so as to enclose an outer side surface of the sleeve 22, and is coupled to the thrust plate 41. A sealing part, in which recessed parts and salient parts are alternately formed along a radial inner peripheral surface, is formed in the sealing cap 60. |
