Controlling flame stability of a gas turbine combustor

A method and apparatus for controlling a flame stability at a gas turbine generator 100 is disclosed. The method includes forming combustible mixtures at a plurality of fuel nozzles 612 of a combustor of the gas turbine generator; altering an oxygen concentration of at least one of the combustible mixtures at a selected fuel nozzle of the plurality of fuel nozzles 612; and burning the combustible mixtures at the plurality of fuel nozzles 612 to control the flame stability at the gas turbine generator 100.
