PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a lead frame with strike plating applied on required positions on both front and rear surfaces, in which continuous plating can be performed in a state of having no joint part even if using a masking jig, unnecessary deposition of plating due to leakage (pooling) of a plating solution to a joint part of a masking rubber of the masking jig is prevented, and displacement of plating position striding the joint part is prevented.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a lead frame with strike plating is for performing strike plating continuously on a lead frame being transported. A masking jig 37 comprising an endless masking rubber for covering the regions of the lead frame other than strike plating regions is set in close contact with one or both surfaces of the lead frame. Then, a forming liquid of strike plating is supplied from the side of the masking jig to the surface of the lead frame, which is energized and covered with the masking jig, and strike plating layers are formed on the strike plating regions. |
