PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging device capable of surely charging a battery even if an input side and an output side of a charging circuit are not insulated.SOLUTION: Any of output terminals of an AC power supply AC is connected to the ground used as a reference. Moreover, an input side and an output side of a charging circuit 11 are not insulated. For this reason, a voltage of a high-voltage battery B with respect to the ground varies with time. When an insulation resistance detection circuit 10 was connected to the high-voltage battery B, a current flows from a vehicle body to the ground through a coupling capacitor 100, and a leakage current detection circuit 12 operates to stop charging, so that the high-voltage battery B cannot be charged. However, a charging device is provided with a relay 137 disconnecting the insulation resistance detection circuit 10 from the high-voltage battery B when the high-voltage battery B is charged. Thus, even if the input side and the output side of the charging circuit 11 are not insulated, the high-voltage battery B can surely be charged. |
