The arrangement (4) has an energy storage device (3) including energy storage units (9, 10) e.g. lead acid battery, formed from storage elements (11, 12) that are switched parallel to each other. An electrical power-consuming high power load (8) i.e. electrical turbo supercharger, is connected to the storage units and supplied with electrical energy by the storage units. An electrical switching unit (14) i.e. MOSFET transistor, is switched between the storage units, and one of the storage elements forms the latter storage unit based on lithium compound. The storage elements form the energy storage units on the basis on lithium component such as lithium-iron-phosphate compound, lithium titanate and lithium-cobalt-manganese-nickel compound.
