Abstract A METHOD FOR STROKING PATHS 5 Disclosed is a method ofstroking a curved path (1961) with a fill of pre-determined thickness, said path having line segments (1962) defined by a plurality of points (1950), said method comprising the steps of: forming (2210) a plurality of projection lines (1963) normal to the curved path at the plurality of points, each of the projection lines having a length (1965) based on the pre-determined fill thickness; determining (2220) an intersection (1902) between a set 0 of the plurality of projection lines, said intersection indicating an occurrence of a void in stroking the curved path; and in response to detecting said intersection of the set of projection lines, constructing (2230) at least one polygon (1964) filling in the void in the stroked path.
