The present invention relates to a function related to the function of p21-activated kinase (PAK), related to proliferation of influenza virus. Particularly, the present invention relates to a composition containing a PAK inhibitor as an active ingredient for preventing and treating influenza A virus (IAV) infectious disease and a method for screening therapeutic agents. According to the present invention, the activation of PAK affects the increase of replication of influenza virus. Therefore, a composition containing the PAK inhibitor as an active ingredient effectively blocks IAV infection and prevents and treats influenza virus infectious diseases by reducing proliferation of influenza virus when the expression and activation of PAK are suppressed.
