PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which can achieve a further excellent voltage response characteristic and a further uniform and high transmittance.SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate 20 and second substrate 50, a first electrode 140 and a first alignment film 21 which are formed on the first substrate 20, a second electrode 160 and a second alignment film 51 which are formed on the second substrate 50, and an arrayed plurality of pixels each of which includes a liquid crystal layer 70 containing liquid crystal molecules 71. The liquid crystal molecules 71 are pre-tilted by the first alignment film 21. A plurality of concavoconvex parts 141 are formed on the first electrode 140. A plurality of stepped portions are formed on a convex 142 formed on the first electrode 140. |
