A mobile terminal and a mobile terminal control method are disclosed. The control method and mobile terminal of the present invention comprises a camera, a display, and a control unit for generating a control signal in a touch mode controlling the mobile terminal based on touches for the display or an eye tracking mode controlling the mobile terminal based on the gesture of user’s eyes obtained by the camera, and the control signal in the eye tracking mode comprises a first control signal displaying the acquisition of a first gesture in the eye tracking mode and a second control signal for selecting a specific function corresponding to a second gesture based on the second gesture. According to the present invention, a user effectively controls the mobile terminal according to the gesture kinds of the user’s eyes.
