An antenna system is disclosed which comprises a frontend part and a backend part connected with each other by a feed line. The frontend part comprises multiple antennas which supply antenna signals, a first control unit which controls the frontend part according to control signals received from the backend part, and at least one first crossover network which connects the feed line to the first crossover network and the first control unit. The backend part comprises multiple receivers, a second control unit which provides the control signals for the first control unit, and a second crossover network which connects the feed line to the second crossover network and the receivers. The frontend part is configured to transmit via the feed line the antenna signals to the backend part in a predetermined frequency range. The backend part is configured to transmit the control signals to the frontend part in a frequency range different from the predetermined frequency range. |
