The invention relates to a method of constructing a graph representing a building (BAT) in which a person (U) moves. In the invention, the method is adapted to receiving information about the movement of said person in the building over a period of time, said information being collected and transmitted by a portable device (D) associated with said person (U), and in constructing at least one branch of the graph from received movement information. The invention also provides a method of remotely tracking the activity of a person in a building as a function of the constructed graph. The invention also provides a server (S) implementing the method of constructing a graph.
