PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an applicator capable of effectively preventing a chemical liquid from splashing to a worker, and excellently applying the chemical liquid without causing any trouble that a covering body provided for splashing prevention scratches a coating surface. SOLUTION: The applicator includes: a gripper 1; a rotary roller 3 attached to an extending part from the gripper 1; and the rotatable covering body 4 for covering the rotary roller 3 attached to the extending part from the gripper 1, and is characterized by including an energizing means for energizing the covering body 4 in a specific direction.
