PURPOSE: A variable resistor and an electronic device using the same are provided to improve a rectifying property by using a ferroelectric layer and a double layer. CONSTITUTION: A ferroelectric layer (FL) is formed between a first electrode (TE) and a second electrode (BE). A double layer (DE) is arranged in the ferroelectric layer. The double layer is arranged in the first electrode or the second electrode. The double layer includes an aluminum oxide layer and a titanium oxide layer. The aluminum oxide layer is in contact with the ferroelectric layer.
