PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine control device that can improve fuel economy without depending on driving skill of a driver.SOLUTION: An engine control device includes an electronic control unit 1 for controlling an engine control actuator 6 on the basis of engine control data; and a communication unit 2 for transmitting engine control data of other vehicle obtained by inter-vehicle communication to the electronic control unit 1. When fuel consumption of the other vehicle obtained by the communication part 21 is better than fuel consumption of one vehicle obtained by a second communication driver 25, a microcomputer 13 stores the engine control data associated with the fuel consumption of the other vehicle in a backup RAM 12 as the engine control data of the one vehicle. |
