<p>PURPOSE: To maintain the proper operation and separation of the logic section of a circuit, even when a positive high voltage is inverted by connecting a potential for separation to the most negative potential of the circuit through switches. CONSTITUTION: A circuit for dynamically separating an integrated circuit indicates whether the potential at the rear surface of the integrated circuit composed of vertical and horizontal components is on the positive side or negative side of a reference potential (ground). The voltage Viso , applied across a classifying area varies between a ground GND connected through a first switch S1 and the voltage Vout at the rear surface, connected through a second switch depending upon the result of comparison performed by means of a detector D. An inverter I is constituted, so that the inverter I can control the switches S1 and S2 oppositely. Therefore, the potential Viso is always connected to the most negative potential of the circuit through the switches. According to this constitution, the switch S1 can be realized by a horizontal MOS transistor(Tr), and the switch S2 can be realized by a vertical npn Tr.</p> |
