PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel active material for a lithium secondary battery having a large discharge capacity, and a lithium secondary battery manufactured using the active material for a secondary battery.SOLUTION: A novel active material for a lithium secondary battery contains each element of lithium, nickel, titanium, silicon and oxygen, on the basis of such a concept that Ti is allowed to co-exist with an anion site of LiNiSiOthat has not been capable of being synthesized in the past. Accordingly, an active material capable of reversibly inserting/desorbing lithium ions and having high energy density can be provided. |
