APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR TRANSMISSION OF UPLINK SOUNDING REFERENCE SIGNALS IN A WIRELESS NETWORK

PURPOSE: A method for transmission of an uplink sounding reference signal (SRS) in a wireless network and an apparatus thereof are provided to improve a bandwidth of an SRS and the establishment of transmission power levels. CONSTITUTION: Each of mobile terminals (202,204,206,208) transmits an SRS in a single carrier-frequency division multiplexing (SC-FDM) symbol. The SRS is transmitted on two or more component carriers. Each of the mobile terminals scales each transmission power level of the two or more component carriers in which the SRS is transmitted if total transmission power of the SC-FDM symbol related to the SRS exceeds a maximum transmission power level.
