A method and apparatus for dispensing building wrap supplied on a roll comprising an elongate member engageable with a building structure, at least one roll supporting member engaged to the elongate member, the roll supporting member able to support a roll (e.g. of building wrap), and a tensioning device operatively engaged with the at least one roll supporting member to provide tension, as required, to any sheet material that has been dispensed from the roll.
