PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting method and a light emitting device, capable of achieving lighting in which the colors perceived by a human appear as natural, vivid, highly visible and pleasant colors and objects, as though under an outdoor high-illuminance environment, regardless of various color rendition metric scores, in an indoor lighting environment of approximately 5,000 lx or less including such a case where detail work is performed, or approximately 1,500 lx or less for general conditions.SOLUTION: When an object is illuminated by light emitted from a light emitting device, the lighting is performed so that light measured at the location of the object satisfies a specific requirement. In the light emitting device, the light emitted therefrom in the principal emission direction satisfies the specific requirement. |
