PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter mounting device and a filter mounting method by which a filter of a non-magnetic body is stably mounted on a sprue member.SOLUTION: A filter mounting device 200 mounts a non-magnetic filter 104 in a predetermined position of a cylindrical sprue member 103. The filter mounting device includes: a rod 201 having a first magnetic body 201a on a lower end; a sandwich adapter 208 which has a second magnetic body 208 exerting attractive force mutually to the first magnetic body 201a, is arranged beneath the filter 104 when the filter 104 is sandwiched, and sandwiches the filter 104 with the first magnetic body 201a by the attractive force; and a filter pressing part 202b which presses the filter 104 from above in the predetermined position when the sandwich adapter 208 is separated and the rod 201 is moved upward. |
