PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation apparatus capable of reducing an impact at collision with and scraping-away a cleaning blade even if it is a kind of toner image having a major impact on the cleaning blade, without damage to a blade edge.SOLUTION: A plurality of image formation units generate ATR control toner images QBk, QC, QM and QY and transfer the ATR control toner images to an intermediate transfer belt with pressure. A cleaning blade 12b is arranged making contact with the intermediate transfer belt 8, and collects a toner band of the ATR control toner images transferred to the intermediate transfer belt 8 and conveyed. A controlling unit 110 supplies, to a cleaning blade 1b, an ATR control toner image QBk generated at an image formation unit 1Bk before an ATR control toner image QY generated at an image formation unit 1Y other than a most downstream image formation unit of the plurality of image formation units reaches the cleaning blade 12b. |
