PURPOSE: A substation automation system and a method for collecting information using the same are monitor a non-electric power area of the substation automation system and collect measurement information based on an IEC 61850 standard. CONSTITUTION: One or more bays are connected to one or more station devices(110) through a station bus. One or more process IEDs(130) are connected to one or more bay IEDs(120) through a processor. The bay IED and process IED include a non-electric power managing unit(140). The non-electric power managing unit collects non-electric power information of a substation automation system(100).
