PURPOSE: A digital right device of digital contents and a method thereof are provided to reduce load of an authority management device and enhance compatibility of DRM contents by deciding and issuing a usable right of the contents, and permitting use about the whole or partial among contents with a DRM device. CONSTITUTION: A contents packager(401) extracts an element of digital contents according to a usable right received from a digital right manager(101) and performs a packaging. A contents provider(402) receives the packaged digital contents and supplies to a contents using device. The element of the digital contents is classified into grades according to the usable right. The digital right manager includes an authority information collector receiving the authority information from an outside authority information collecting device. |
