PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance lubricity of a thrust bearing of a camshaft.SOLUTION: In a thrust bearing lubricating structure of a camshaft, a valve gear chamber 6 and chain chamber 8 are arranged inside a cylinder head cover 3 so as to be adjacent to each other. A breather chamber 12 is formed of a breather plate 10 and a partition wall. A cam housing 14 forming a bearing hole 13 is arranged in a boundary between the valve gear chamber and chain chamber. A thrust plate 21 is disposed in a shaft portion projecting to a valve gear chamber side through the bearing hole of a camshaft 5 supported in the bearing hole. The cam housing is provided with a thrust plate groove 24. An opening part 27 opening at least a part of the thrust plate groove upward is provided to an upper part of the cam housing. An enlarged part 28 is formed in the chain chamber as a space extending to an upper part of the thrust plate. A projection part 29 extending to a lower part of the enlarged part is formed in a breather plate. An opening 31 dropping lubricating oil kept on the top side onto the thrust plate is formed in the projection part. |
