PURPOSE: A new thiophen based dye is provided to increase efficiency of solar cell displaying more improved molar extinction coefficient, single circuit photocurrent density (J_sc), and photoelectric conversion efficiency than previous dyes as used on a dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC). CONSTITUTION: A thiophen-based dye is displayed by a chemical formula 1. A production method of the thiphene-based dye displayed as the chemical formula 1 contains making compound from a chemical formula 2 to react with n-butyl lithium and making the other reaction using the product from the previous step and a compound from a chemical formula 3. A dye varied photoelectric converting element contains semiconductor oxide particles in which the dye is embodied. The dye varied photoelectric converting element is a product in which the thiophene-based dye is embodied in the semiconductor oxide particles under existence of an inclusion compound.
