摘要 <p>PURPOSE: A device and a method for determining a borehole inflow condition with a qualitative indicator is provided to accurately measure the flow rate of returning mud and to overcome the delay of flow rate measurement in returning mud on the water surface. CONSTITUTION: A device (100) for determining a borehole inflow condition with a qualitative indicator comprises a first sensor (110), a second sensor (120), a controller (130), and a third sensor (140). The first sensor measures the flow rate of inflow mud pumped into a well. The second sensor detects changes in flow rate of the returning mud discharged from the well. The controller is connected to the first sensor and the second sensor. The controller confirms a kick event based on monitoring and the comparison of progressive changes in the flow rates of the inflow mud and the returning mud. The third sensor is connected to the controller and supplies a measured value related to drilling to the controller.</p>
