Provided is a drive device for a vehicle equipped with an engine, a first electric motor and a second electric motor, the vehicle drive device being capable of achieving favorable fuel efficiency. A vehicle drive device (10) is provided with: a first planetary gear device (18) equipped with a first sun gear, a first ring gear, and a first carrier; and a second planetary gear device (20) equipped with a second sun gear, a second ring gear, and a second carrier. The first sun gear is connected to a first electric motor (MG1), the first ring gear is connected to the second ring gear, the first carrier is connected to an engine (12), the second sun gear is connected to a second electric motor (MG2), and the second carrier is connected to a drive wheel. Therefore, an electronic control device is capable of arbitrarily controlling vehicle speed (V) by changing the revolution speed (Nm) of the second electric motor while the revolution speed (Ne) of the engine and the revolution speed (Ng) of the first electric motor remain constant. As a result, it is possible to control the engine (12), the first electric motor (MG1), and the second electric motor (MG2) so as to achieve favorable fuel efficiency. |
