PURPOSE: A map displaying device and method according to the guidance of a navigation system are provided to improve recognition with respect to the guidance and to service accurate guidance as a camera angle of a map screen, a distance between a camera and own vehicle, and a display of additional screen becomes different according to a situation. CONSTITUTION: A map displaying device(1000) according to the guidance of a navigation system comprises a situation recognition unit(1010), a control parameter setting unit(1020), and a map display control unit(1030). The situation recognition unit recognizes the guidance desired to guide through a map screen of the navigation system. The control parameter setting unit sets control parameters which are requirement for displaying the map screen according to the guidance. The map display control unit displays the map screen with a display mode in which the control parameters are applied. The guidance is sorted by at least one among road properties, a road condition, a guiding point, and a travelling condition of the own vehicle.
