<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control system using a base metal based NOx purification catalyst, the system capable of achieving a high NOx purification rate to an exhaust gas discharged from an internal combustion engine in a wide intake air flow rate (Ga). <P>SOLUTION: An exhaust emission control system includes: preparing a base metal based NOx purification catalyst in which at least one kind of the base metal is supported by a support; previously finding a relationship between an intake air flow rate (Ga) of an internal combustion engine about the arranged NOx purification catalyst and A/F capable of providing a target NOx reduction rate; and carrying out the control of A/F on the basis of the relationship to achieve a NOx reduction rate according to the Ga during running. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
