<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide improved tip cooling providing sufficient durability in blade tips for enduring high temperature operation environments. <P>SOLUTION: The component includes a substrate having an outer side surface, an inner side surface, and a tip. The outer side surface defines one or a plurality of grooves, and each groove is extended at least partially along the outer side surface of the substrate and has a bottom. The component further includes a coating disposed on the outer side surface of the substrate. The coating includes at least one structural coating extending on the groove(s), and the groove(s) and the structural coating together define one or a plurality of channels for cooling the component. The tip includes a tip cap surrounding (a) hollow internal space(s), and a tip rim disposed on an end in a radial outer side of the substrate.
