An insect screen 10 for mounting on a fixed frame 52 around the perimeter of an architectural opening is disclosed. The insect screen 10 includes a perimeter 5 frame 12 defining a first pair of opposed sides 14, and a second pair of sides 20 that are opposed to each other extending perpendicular to said first pair 14. One side 16 of said first pair 14 has an attachment arrangement in the form of a double sided adhesive tape 44 for its non-releasable attachment to the adjacent surface of the fixed frame 52. The other side 18 of said first pair 14 has a magnetic 10 element 30 thereon for its releasable attachment to a magnetic element on the fixed frame 52. The perimeter frame 12 is made out of a resilient flexible material whereby to enable the second pair of sides 20 to flex resiliently to permit the side 18 in use to be lifted away from a resting position against the fixed frame 52 while the side 16 remains non-releasably attached and fixed to the fixed frame 52. The 15 resilient flexibility of the second pair of sides 20 permits the side 18 to return to its resting position against the fixed frame 52 when the lifting force is removed.
