PURPOSE: A curable phenol resin molding material and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to enhance compatibility and connectivity of resin and inorganic fillers. CONSTITUTION: A curable phenol resin molding material comprises a resin binder consisting of high novolac type phenolic resin having orth-para coupling ratio of 1.0 or higher and novolak type phenol resin, and inorganic filler. The resin binder and inorganic filler are surface-modified with the silane coupling. The resin binder comprises 50-90 weight% of novolac type phenolic resin and 10-50 weight% of high ortho novolac type phenolic resin based on the total weight of resin binder.
