<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode material (collector) having excellent tab weldability, capable of being reduced in film thickness thereof, and achieving decreased internal resistance of a battery by decreasing contact resistance with an active material layer, an electrode including the electrode material, a secondary battery including the electrode, and a method for manufacturing the electrode material. <P>SOLUTION: An electrode material 1 includes a base material 1a made of a metal foil and a conductive substance 1b disposed at least one surface of the base material 1a. The surface of the base material 1a is constituted from a flat portion and a plurality of depressions, and an average depth of the depressions is 0.3 μm or more and 3.0 μm or less. The conductive substance 1b is disposed in the depressions. The flat portion is exposed, and, when observed from a 300 μm square view field, the conductive substance 1b is arranged in an island form on the surface of the base material 1a, while a cover ratio of the conductive substance 1b on the surface of the base material 1a is 1-80%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
