<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine-driven inverter generator that accommodates light to heavy loads with fuel economy. <P>SOLUTION: The engine-driven inverter generator includes a controller 8 for controlling the speed of an engine 21 on the basis of an input from input means 7 and a detected load status. The controller 8 is configured to execute, after starting a load, a normal operation mode of controlling the engine speed with a lower limit at a minimum speed set through the input means 7 in accordance with the load status. In the normal operation mode, the controller 8 computes a logical engine speed from the detected load status (for example, power consumption), compares the power consumption with, for example, a reference power consumption (reference power) of the load corresponding to the minimum speed, and if the power consumption is higher than the reference power, sets a target speed at the logical speed or, if the power consumption is equal to or lower than the reference power, sets the target speed at the minimum speed, to whereby control a measured engine speed to the target speed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
