The invention relates to packaging and is used for packaging, transport and storage of liquid materials (e.g., oil, chemicals and paints, food liquids, gelatinous substances, gels, resins, etc.). The object of the invention is an economy barrel for liquids, which has a cylindrical shape and consists of a lid, a bottom, a side closed wall and two reinforcing bands mounted in the connection units and a bottom with a side closed wall, wherein the diameters of lid cover and bottom of barrel are technologically increased by 2&Dgr; value as compared with the inner barrel diameter d = 2r for forming the vertical reinforcing ribs of the same height &Dgr; on the perimeters of lid and bottom followed by connection of these ribs with the edges of side wall of barrel from its middle and two reinforcement bands along the outer perimeter of its edges by welding to form a single closed reinforcing rib in the form of a circle for each of two edges of the barrel. The novelty of the claimed design of barrel consists in that the values of the inner radius of barrel r and inner height h of its inner side wall are defined by the following formulas:where V- given useful volume of barrel; δ- thickness of a steel sheet used for manufacture of the lid, bottom and side wall of barrel; δ- thickness of a steel sheet used for manufacture of each of the reinforcing ribs; &Dgr; - value of technological increase of the inner radius of bottom and lid of barrel, as well as the height of rectangular cross-section of each of reinforcing bands; &pgr; - constant equal to &pgr;≈ 3,14159. Due to the special selection of the optimal ratio between design parameters of a barrel the reduction of its consumption of materials by 11.67 % is provided. |
