PURPOSE:To shorten mean latency time in a movement path with regard to a storage device which uses such as a bubble storage element, by storing information in the movement path according to an access frequency. CONSTITUTION:At positions 21-22 of a two-way movement minor loop 11 connected to a mojor loop 10 via a transfer gate 12, etc., pieces of dot information on KANJI (Chinese character), etc., of rank 1 with a high frequency of appearance is stored and at positions 22-23, 23-24, and 24-25, pieces of KANJI dot information of ranks 2, 3 and 4 are stored respectively. Other minor loops are the same, and this storage system reduces the extent of the movement of magnetic bubbles to further shorten the mean latency time of a two-way movement minor loop whose latency time is reduced to a half that of a one way movement minor loop. Further, using this storage system for the one-way movement minor loop shorten its mean latency time substantially. |
