<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical coupling element which has such a shape as to transmit light from a light emitting element to a light receiving element as efficiently as possible and therefore allows the reduction of power consumption of the light emitting element and can be miniaturized. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical coupling element, a first light reflector having an inside surface curved concavely is formed so as to surround a light emitting element, and a second light reflector having an inside surface curved concavely is formed so as to surround a light receiving element, and the light emitting element surrounded with the first light reflector and the light receiving element surrounded with the second light reflector are disposed so as to face each other, and a light-transmissive insulating material is disposed between the light emitting element and the light receiving element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
