<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for preventing white smoke with which generation of the white smoke can be effectively suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for preventing white smoke includes: a high-pressure air inlet means 14 provided between a turbocharger 5 and an engine 2 for leading the high-pressure air from an air tank 13 for a pneumatic brake to an inlet manifold 9; a white smoke map 15 in which information showing probability of white smoke generation in an engine state is stored, the engine state expressed by a combination of a plurality of engine parameters including, with the engine parameters used as arguments, rotational speed of the engine, a fuel injection amount and an ambient temperature; and a boost pressure increase control unit 16 which activates the high-pressure air inlet means 14 to raise a boost pressure when the information referring to the white smoke map 15 with a plurality of engine parameters as the arguments indicates the potential of the white smoke generation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
