The invention relates to a screwing system for use in bone surgery, comprising a screwdriver (1) and a receiving device (17) for receiving screws or bits, a rod arrangement (11, 16) that is connected to the receiving device (17), a handle housing (10) that is axially displaceable between an advance position (19b) and a return position (19a) and in parallel to the main axis of the rod arrangement, and a conversion device (12) for converting the axial displacement of the handle housing into a rotational movement of the rod arrangement, the conversion device and the screws being designed in such a manner that a single stroke of the handle housing between the return position (19a) and the advance position (19b) results in a complete screwing in of the screw.
