PURPOSE: A wearable display apparatus and a power controlling method thereof are provided to simplify a process of controlling the power of a display unit by comparing an operation of moving a part of a worn body with an operation stored in advance in order to turn on/off the power. CONSTITUTION: A wearable display apparatus(100) comprises a body(110), a display unit(120), a communication unit(130), a power supply unit(140), a storage unit(150), a sensor unit(160), and a control unit(170). The storage unit stores a specific operation of a user in advance. The sensor unit senses the operation of the user. The control unit turns the power of the display unit off if the specific operation of the user is sensed by the sensor unit when the power of the display unit is on, and turns the power of the display unit on if the specific operation of the user is sensed by the sensor unit when the power of the display unit is off.
