<p>The present invention relates to a vehicle scanner utilizing a smart phone. The vehicle scanner includes: a main body; a connection communication unit disposed on one side of the main body and connected to an on-board diagnostic (OBD) system connector which is installed in a vehicle so as to communicate with the OBD device of the vehicle; a control unit processing data transmitted from the OBD device by the connection communication unit to convert the data into vehicle information outputted on the display unit of the smart phone, wherein the control unit is disposed in the main body; and a wireless communication unit disposed in the main body to receive the vehicle information from the control unit by communicating with the wireless communication module of the smart phone, thereby displaying the received vehicle information on the display unit of the smart phone by running an application. The present invention relates to an integrated system for a vehicle black box, a navigation system, driving information, and status checkup information. Thus, the problem of a large number of devices mounted on the dashboard of a vehicle causing clutter and being hazardous may be resolved. Also, affordability may be increased through the cost savings realized by not having to separately purchase various devices, user convenience may also be improved, and video data may be additionally stored to prevent damage to or loss of video data relating to a vehicle crash.</p> |
