<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact, lightweight, and efficient electric compressor that is achieved by preventing a gap being generated between an electric motor and a body casing, and an increase in a tact time for cooling during shrink fitting. <P>SOLUTION: The electric compressor includes: a compression portion 2; an electric motor 5 for driving the compression portion; and a body casing 1 in which the compression portion 2 and the electric motor 5 are mounted. The compression portion 2 and a stator of the electric motor 5 are fixed by interference fitting at two adjacent sectional parts of an inner wall of the body casing 1, and the interference fitting portion of the compression portion 2 to the body casing and the interference fitting portion of the stator of the electric motor are positioned substantially perpendicular to each other with respect to a rotation direction angle of the body casing 1. This configuration allows the body casing to be elastically deformed three-dimensionally to thereby obtain strong fastening force, and the body casing to be deformed into a cross shape to absorb stress to thereby relieve internal stress generated in the body casing, the stator, and the compression portion. As a result, the body casing decreases in the size with a thinned wall, and also the reliability thereof increases without deterioration in the efficiency of the electric motor and the compression portion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
