<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide composites used for preparing sails, reduced in weight, being flexible, having mechanical resistance, and being foldable, and to provide the sails prepared from the composites. <P>SOLUTION: This invention relates to a composite comprising two polyurethane films 5, 6, identical or different, that are connected to one another and between which a reinforcement mesh 7 and at least one textile reinforcement threads 81, 82, 83 oriented according to at least one predetermined stress line is inserted.
